Beyoncé Addresses Renaissance Album Leak in Heartfelt Message to Fans

Moments after releasing his highly anticipated album, Renaissance, Queen Bey herself shared a personal note with fans, thanking them for waiting until July 29 to listen. (ICYMI, Renaissance was leaked online three days before the release date).

“So, the album got leaked and you all waited till the proper release time to really enjoy it,” she wrote in a message shared on Instagram on July 29. “I’ve never seen anything like this. I can’t thank you enough for your love and protection. I appreciate you knocking out whoever was trying to sneak into the club early. Means the world to me.

In her heartfelt message, Beyoncé had nothing but praise for the Beehive. “Thank you for your unwavering support,” she wrote. “Thanks for being patient. We are going to take our time and enjoy the music. I will continue to give my all and do my best to make you happy. I love you so much.”

Ahead of its release, the Grammy winner also shared another glimpse into the process of creating the first act of the three-part project. She also gave a shout out to some of her biggest inspirations in which she and Jay Zchildren of: Blue10, roomis5, and Mr5.

“This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic,” she wrote on her website on July 28 alongside a rare photo of her family. “There’s still a time to be, but there’s also a time when I found myself most creative. Making this album gave me a place to dream and escape to the world during a scary time.”

In a message shared on his website, the 40-year-old also described the album as a “beautiful journey of exploration”.

“I want to give a special thanks to Rumi, Sir and Blue for giving me the space, creativity and inspiration,” she said. “And a special thanks to my husband and muse, who put me down during those late nights in the studio.”
