Jessica Simpson’s daughter had a great babysitter growing up!
Simpson, 42, recently appeared on an Instagram Live with American Express Business where she revealed that 10-year-old daughter Maxwell Drew’s first concert was not with her singer mom.
“I was sad when Maxwell had to go to her first concert … Olivia Rodrigo went to her,” was I wanna Love You Forever The singer revealed. “Selena Gomez was his babysitter.”
“So she went with Selena. She met a really good friend of Selena’s little sister, so Max had to go to her first concert,” she shared.
The actress said that Maxwell has seen her mother perform with Willie Nelson before, but never experienced a full concert. “I always thought this was going to be my first concert,” she admitted.
“But she’s 10, she’s got to see a live show. So thanks to Olivia Rodrigo for that show. And thanks to Selena for being a great babysitter,” she said.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Simpson talked about balancing her life as a mother of three children. In addition to Maxwell, she and husband Eric Johnson, 42, share daughter Birdie May, 3-year-old, and son Ace Knutte, 9.
“You know, I really get into them. Maxwell loves animals, and I like let’s do like a pet line… She’s great at drawing, and she chooses the color palette, she Attracts,” she shared. “But she designs awesome and it’s so cute.”
“And she’s unrealistic on TikTok, like that girl can edit the best, it’s shocking. So I always turn to Maxwell for advice and I think she’s more trendy than me.”
Simpson and Johnson met back in 2010 and tied the knot in July 2014.

Earlier this month, Simpson spent time with her family in Texas for Fourth of July weekend and gave fans a look at her journey in a social media post.
“Our family had the best 4th of July on Lake Austin,” Simpson wrote in an Instagram caption accompanying a carousel of photos featuring herself and her family from the trip.
“We asked the kids where they wanted to go for their summer trip and, from everywhere, they chose Texas to be with their cousins,” she shared. “It was a week of passionate and nostalgic explosions.”
