Johnny Depp Settles Assault Lawsuit With ‘City of Lies’ Crew Member

Johnny Depp will not appear in court again later this month after his lawyer has settled with a “City of Lies” crew member who alleged the actor punched him on set in 2017.

Less than two months after winning a defamation battle in a Virginia courtroom against ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp was scheduled to go to a civil trial in Los Angeles on July 25.

Greg “Rocky” Brooks, a location manager, sued Depp in 2018, alleging that Depp got angry when Brooks informed him he would have to stop filming for the night.

The matter was scheduled for a final status conference ahead of the hearing on Tuesday. The settlement notice was sent to the judge on Monday. The suit is expected to be dismissed after the settlement is completed. No terms were disclosed.

Depp was represented by attorney Camille Vasquez, who became popular with Depp fans after he argued Heard in a defamation suit.
