Purr-fect pets! Taylor Swift, Kate Beckinsale And even bigger Hollywood stars have a serious obsession with their furry friends.
The “Lover” singer has never been shy about her love for her pets, Meredith Gray and Olivia Benson, who are named after some of her favorite fictional characters. Speaking with Time in April 2019, the Grammy winner admitted that the “most influential factor” in her life is her adorable kittens. “I have cats. I am obsessed with them,” she said at the time. “They are just a real pleasure to be with. I love my cats so much that when I got a role in a movie called Cats, I thought, ‘I have to do this.'”
Although the 2019 film adaptation of the famous Broadway musical didn’t make a big splash with audiences, Swift teased that working on the film was her “calling to life” and said she jumped at the opportunity to learn “more than it should be”. “As a cat as I possibly could” with her costar.
Later that month, the Nashville native opened up about adopting her third cat, Benjamin Button, on the set of a music video. ,[They] Gave me this little cat and he just starts whispering and… he looks at me like, ‘You’re my mom, and we’re gonna be together.’ I am in love. Despite her past “Bad Blood”, Swift’s obsession with kittens is something that her fellow cat lovers have in common. Katy Perry, The “I Kissed a Girl” singer confirmed in April that her beloved pet Kitty Purie had passed away.
“Kitty Puri was completely pregnant 15 years ago by the window of my then boyfriend and was looking for shelter,” Perry wrote via Instagram at the time. “Kitty, thanks for the hugs and support along the way. Many thanks to my brother David and @garethwalters for being great co-parents. #kittypurryforever.”
