The Queen is reportedly “uncomfortable” with Kate Middleton and Prince William’s recent helicopter use.
Amid backlash over royal family spending, royal reporter Richard Palmer tells the express That “they’re unsafe because then you see pictures of the Cambridge family flying by helicopter. I mean, I think they’ve been scaled down a little bit. I think the Queen felt that, definitely tell that.” Granted, that he felt uneasy about the whole family traveling by helicopter. I think something else was going on partly behind the scenes.”
Richard elaborated, “I think there was a bit of official unhappiness about the amount of time they were spending traveling using the helicopter between Anmer Hall in Cambridge Norfolk and their London residence, Kensington Palace.” “People in the Cambridge camp would say it didn’t really happen very often. Others seemed to think it was happening a bit more than the Queen.”
Apparently, the Queen “also reported that she was concerned about the Cambridges traveling as family by helicopter because of the possibility of an accident” especially when several heirs to the throne were traveling together.
The Cambridges are about to move out of their Anmer Hall home and move to Windsor, so they will travel far less and probably won’t need to hop in a helicopter as often anymore. So… problem solved?
