Becky Hammon’s young son partied with the Aces after their WNBA Commissioner’s Cup win, then insisted he wasn’t up past his bedtime
The Las Vegas Aces took down the Chicago Sky to win the 2022 Commissioners Cup.
Head coach Becky Hyman’s younger son, Cayden, joined the team for the ceremony in the locker room.
When asked by Insider if he woke up late than usual, Cayden insisted, “I sleep later than this.”
The Las Vegas Aces celebrated fiercely after taking down the Chicago Sky on the road Tuesday night to win the second annual Commissioner’s Cup championship game.
And head coach Becky Hyman’s younger son, Cayden, was out there partying with the stars.

He later joined the celebration in the locker room of the Wintrust Arena as his mother and her players toasted their victory and danced the night away. In a video of the Aces’ post-game festivities, Cayden can be seen holding a towel – which he confirmed he brought in anticipation of a champagne shower – while at players’ shenanigans.
He was close as Mom had seen the first of many bottles:
And there he was looking again, when after a while Hamon joined the dance troupe of the players:
“Good thing you have glasses because it protects your eyes from the champagne,” Hammon told his son during a postgame press conference.
When Insider asked the budding coaching assistant if he stayed later than usual to celebrate with the team and attend a postgame press conference, Cayden vehemently denied that he had missed his bedtime. .
“I sleep later than this,” said Cayden with a smile at about 10:30 p.m. local time.
The response elicited laughter from across the room and a laugh from her mother, who was sitting a seat away on the stage.
“You gonna put me on blast like this?!” He asked, reprimanding his son in the process.
