The UFC is back with its eighth pay-per-view of the year, which means the popular “embedded” fight-week video series is back to document what’s happening behind the scenes.
UFC 277 takes place on Saturday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. The main card streams on ABC, ESPN and ESPN+ on ESPN+ followed by prelims on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
The main event features a much-anticipated rematch between Julianna Pea and Amanda Nunes, when Pea presented Nunes a shocker to become the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion last December. The two women also coached against each other on “The Ultimate Fighter 30.”
There’s another rematch in the co-main event as former flyweight champion Brandon Moreno, who seeks gold in the interim title fight against Kai Cara-France, was defeated by Moreno by unanimous decision in December 2019.
The fifth episode of “Embedded” follows the featured fighters as they prepare for Fight Week. Here’s a UFC description of the episode from YouTube:
Champion Juliana Pea is in the limelight. Brandon Moreno admires his mini-me. Alex Perez draws inspiration from a teammate. Derrick Lewis remains positive. Athletes 277 talk and face-to-face in press conferences.
