Notre Dame 2023 safety commit still speaking with other schools

Notre Dame 2023 safety commit still speaking with other schools

In recruitment, nothing is official until a prospect is indicated. There are too many “flips” every year because school will barely keep going after a prospect, even if they have verbally committed to school.

It looks like the current 2023 security Texas Peyton Bowen, an Irish commitment, is going through that process right now. Bowen was committed to Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame on the first date of this year, but according to a report from 247Sports at the Under Armor Future 50 event, Freeman will have to continue to recruit Bowen hard.

Andrew Ivins explained that although Bowen is “confident” in his commitment, “he is still in contact with both Oklahoma and Texas A&M.” Although it is not the biggest news for Notre Dame, Bowen is still committed but the Irish can leave no stone unturned in their recruitment.
